Manavjit Sandhu Wins Gold Medal In ISSF Shotgun World Cup

Manavjit Singh Sandhu of India has clinched Gold Medal for India in ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Tucson, USA. Manavjit has beaten the two times Olympic Champion Michael Diamond to clinch the Gold Medal.

37 years old Manavjit who is one of the finest shooters in India has scored 121 in the qualification and 13 in the finals to confirm the Gold Medal. His rivalry Michael Diamond could score 9 in the finals.

Manavjit was a world champion in the year 2006 after which he was awarded with Rajiv Gandji Khel Ratna Awardee which is India’s Greatest award for excellence in sports. Manavjit is now ranked 16^th in the world.

Manavjit said that winning the match against Michael was challenging. He also said that he have been preparing for this World Cup all throughout the winter season. He said he had participated in several championships and trials during the last month in India and had never stopped shooting.
