After the great success of Moto G in India, Motorola is ready
to launch Moto X in India within a few weeks. This news is claimed by company
officials during a session at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This
news is also confirmed through its official twitter account.
The company has announced that the budget android smart phone
Moto G is now the company’s most successful launch ever. Moto X expected to be a slightly expensive handset
compared the Moto G and with better features but the price has not been
revealed yet.
Moto X is a customisable Android smart phone launch in August
last year and was available to the US initially.
Motorola launched the Moto G in India earlier this month via
online retailer Flipkart where the price of the 8 GB variant is Rs. 12,499 and
the price of the 16 GB variant is Rs. 13,999. It is not yet known whether the
company will apply the same strategy for the Moto X.
The phone is featured with a 4.7 inch display screen using
Corning Gorilla Glass Technology with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and
powered by 1.7 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Pro Snapdragon Dual Core processor and
Adreno 320 GPU Graphics. It also features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal
storage which is not expandable. It comes with a 10 mega pixel rear camera with
LED flash capable of recording HD videos and 2 mega pixel front camera.
In terms of connectivity Moto X comes with dual band Wi-Fi
support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS support, Near Field Communication
(NFC) chip and micro USB 2.0 with USB Host feature. It comes with 2200 mAh
battery.
