Snapchat in its recent update has introduced video calls and instant
messaging. It became the most up-to-date social network to give users more
privacy options.
Chats will be
deleted when a user leaves the conversation and will not be stored on users'
phones.
These
features will be introduced in an update to the existing app.
A
User will be able to chat with his friends just by swiping right on their names
in the inbox.
The
messages and pictures would be deleted with the closure of the chat screen. If a
user wants to keep the conversation he can do so by manually saving them on
their phones.
The
app allows two users in a conversation to chat face to face. It also allows
easier addition of selfies and videos to conversations.
The app had rejected an offer of $3 bn (£1.8 bn) from
Facebook last year to buy the app.
