The popular free mobile messaging
app WhatsApp, now acquired by Facebook said that it has now grown to half billion
users all throughout the world.

It has
increased from an estimated 450 million as of late February, since the reach of
its service has expanded swiftly in countries like India, Russia, Brazil and Mexico.
In their
blog WhatsApp said that the users are sharing over 700 million photos and 100
million videos per day.
Mark
Zuckerberg has acquired this app in February for $19 billion. However this
whopping price raised eyebrows of many but Zukerberg said that WhatsApp is in fact
worth more.
He said that
very few services can reach such a huge millions of people in the world and
this acquisition will be the largest ever by Facebook.
