Nokia X To Be The First Android Phone From Nokia

Nokia has announced its first ever Android based phone at MWC in Barcelona. Nokia has landed on the android platform with three new android based phones.

The phone runs on a version of Android Open Source Project (AOSP), with access to side loading of android apps, third-party app stores and Nokia’s own store as well.



Nokia X and X+ is launched as a 4 inch budget smart phone and Nokia XL will be a 5 inch phone with the flagship of X series phone. The starting price of Nokia X will be around 89 euros (Rs. 7600) and X+ around 99 euros(Rs. 8400) but its availability in India is still uncertain. Sources says that Nokia X will be available in India and other countries soon but the other two models can be expected later in quarter two of this year.

Nokia X comes with 3 MP camera while Nokia XL comes with 5 MP camera.  The Nokia X and X+ will have a resolution of 800x400 pixel. Chipset are not yet announced but both will have a Snapdragon S4 SoC. The processor will be dual core clocked at 1 GHz with 4 GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 32 GB. Nokia X will come with 512 MB RAM and X+ with 768 MB RAM. Both Nokia X and X+ will come with 1500 mAh battery which will have a talktime of around 13 hours on 2G platform and standby time of 17 days. Connectivity features will include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and 3G cellular data with Dual SIM Slot. The Nokia X disappoints by lacking a front facing camera.
